Red Mango Arts Festival cast taking a bow

Our Story

Born in Durban.
For Everyone.

Red Mango Arts Festival is Durban's premier multi-day celebration of the performing arts. From musical theatre to poetry, children's plays to comedy, devotional music to cabaret — every edition brings the full spectrum of human expression to one stage.

We believe the arts belong to everyone. That's why our programme spans genres, generations, and price points — R75 for a child's first theatre experience, R350 for a full day of celebration. There is something here for every person in Durban.

The Venue

Sastri College, Greyville, Durban — a historic institution at the heart of the city, with a Main Hall built for performance and a Small Hall for intimate work. Safe parking. Food stalls. A crafts market throughout.

The Dates

22 – 25 July 2026. Four days, eight shows, one unforgettable festival. From opening night on Wednesday to a full Saturday programme, every day offers something different.

Get Involved

We welcome artists, sponsors, volunteers, and schools. If you want to be part of the Red Mango family — on stage, behind the scenes, or in the audience — reach out.
